The fourteenth of August One thousand Six hundred sixty one I
Bettridge Guy of Colebrooke in the Countie of Bucks widow being weak in body
Butt of a perfect Memory (Thanks be to God) Do make this my last Will and Testa-
-ment in manner and form following, First I Commend my Soule to Almightie God
and my bodie to the Earth To bee buries att the discretion of my Executor hereinafter named
Item I give and bequeath unto my Son Thomas Guy one feather bedd, And the
Summe of fortie pounts to be paied within six monthes next after my decease
Item I give and bequeath unto my Sonne William Guy my best Table Item I give
and bequeath to my Sonne James Guy the Legacie of Sixtie pounds which was bequeathed
to him by his late father John Guy deceased To bee paied when as hee shall attain
to the age of one and twentie pounds yeares Also I give unto him a feather bedd Item
I give and bequeath To my Daughter Bettridge Guy her heayes and assigns in Lieu of
a portion of Legacie of Seventie poundes given by her father John Guy deceased
nowe dwelling house And that parte of the Messuage or Tenement called the Bell
which is nowe in the Tenure or Occupation of Edmund Bourd next adjourning to my
now dwelling house with theire appurtenents Situate and being in Colebrooke
aforesaid in the parish of Horton Also I give and bequeath unto my said daughter
Bettridge her heayes and assigns All those parcelle of freehold Land being Seaven
Acres which I lately Purchased od Robert Wothy lying and being in the parish
of Horton in the Countie of Bucks Provided Always that if my said daughter
Bettridge should happen to dye or depart this life before she shall attain the age
of one and twenty years Then I give and bequeath the aforesaid House or Tenement
and parcelle of Land To my Three Sons Thomas William and James equally
to be divided amongst them, or the survivor of them, their heires and Assigns
Also I give and bequeath To my said Daughter Bettridge All my Wares and howse-
hold goods (Except that which to before given) Item I give and bequeath to by aforesaid
Sonne Item I give and bequeath to my aforesaid Sonne William and James and my
daughter Bettridge All the remaining parte of the Messuage Tenement or Inne with
the appurtenances called the bell, theirs heyres and assignes upon condition That the
William James and Bettridge their heyres and assigns shall pay unto my sonne
Thomas Guy during his natural life, The Summe of fourtie Shillings yearely
att Two termes in the year ( That is to say ) upon the Twentie Nineth of September
and Twentiees first day of March by even and Equal portions Butt if the said William
James and Bettridge shall Refuse to pay the said fourtie shillings yearly upon the
Demand of my sonne Thomas Then I give the said remaining parte of the
Messuage Tenement or Inne with the Appurtenances to my said sonne Thomas
his heyres and Assignes Provided Allways that if my said daughter Bettridge
shall happen to dye or depart this life before shee shall attaine to the age
of One and twentie years Then I make voyd the yearly payment of the fourtie
shillings yearly to my sonne Thomas And do give and bequeath unto my said sonne
Thomas the parte or portion with my Two sons William and James which
I have given to my daughter Betteridge, The Remaining part of the aforesaid Messuage
Tenement or Inn with the appurtenances called the Bell Item I give to my
grandchild John Guy five pounds To be paid to him at the age of one
and twentie years Item my will is that all such goodes the I have given to
my daughter, which shee with my oveseere shall thing necessarie to bee Sould
my Will is they mat bee sould and the money putt out by my Executor To the benifit
of my said Daughter Bellridge untill shee shall attaine to the age of Eighteen
years. Item All other my goods and Chattells not given and bequeathed I give
and bequeath them to my Sonne William Guy and make him Sole Executor of
this my last Will and Testament And doe desire Henry Cross? and Thomas Burcombe
do bee Overseers to this my last Will and Testament And Doe give to sum
of five shillings to buy each of them a payne of gloves Also I give to my
Daughter in LAe Margerye Guy five Shillings to but her a payer of Gloves

Will in the presense of Tho: Burcombe Martha Fullest?
