In the name of God Amen the ninth day of February in the tenth yeare of the
Reigne of out Soverigne Lady Ann by the grave of god over Great Brittan France and
Ireland Queen defender of the faith &c. Anno Domini 1711 I John Brown of Colebrooke in
the County of Bucks Coney Woollcutter Being in good health thankes be to Almighty god for it and considering
that it behoofeth a Christian in time of health to expect death doe therefore make this my last
Will and testament in manner and form following first and principally I commend and commit my
soule into the hands of Almighty god my creator and into the handes of Jesus Christ my only
savior and redeemer through whose death and passion and by whole only merrits I trust to be
saved and to Live with him eternally in glory and my body I commit to the earth to be buried in
Christian and decent manner at the discretion of my Executors I have in after named and touching
my worldly estate which god in his mercy hath made me owner in this life I give and devise and
dispose of as followeth Imprimies I give devise and bequeath unto my grandson John Brown one
shilling Item I give and bequeath All that my freehold cottage or tenement Whereing in I the said
John Brown doth now in habite with all buildings out houses orchards yards gardens grounds backsides
and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging or in any wise apertaining situate and lie
being in the west end of Colebrook in the parish of Langley Marsh in the county of Bucks unto
my daughters Martha Brown and Margaret Brown their heirs and assigns forever — Item I doe
give and bequeath to my daughter Eleane Brown —— [rest of crossed out section not legible] Item all the rest
and residue of my goods and cattell chattels debts owings unto me ready money and personal estate
whatsoever after my debts legacies and funeral expenses being paid and discharges I
devise and bequeath unto my two daughters Martha and Margaret Brown to be equally divided
between [damaged] them and I doe hereby constitute nominate and apoint them full and sole executrixes
of this my last will and testament renouncing and revoking all other wills by me
formerly made die declare this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I
the said John Brown have hereunto set my hand and seale the day and year above
written
