In the name of God Amen This first day of Nov Anno Don 1712 I

Richard Wakefield of Colebrook in ye pish of Langley Marish in the County of

Bucks Malster being sick & weak of body but of sound & pfect mind & 

memory praise be therefore given to Almighty God but calling to mind

ye unpertainely of this life & that it is appointed for all flesh one to 

dye do make & ordaine this my last Will & testament in manner & form 

following that is to say first & principally I commend my soul into 

the hands of Almighty God my Creator hoping thro ye meritts &

passion of my saviour Jesus Christ to have a full and free pardon &

resurrection of all by soul & my body I commit it to the Earth to be 

decently buried at ye discretion of my executors hereafter named & 

as touching the temporal estates whereto it hath pleased Almighty 

God to bestow upon me I give devise & despose of as hereafter 

followeth Item I will it all those debt & duties that I owe to any

p[er]son be paid by my Executors hereafter named within a convenient 

time after my decease Item I do give all that my customary 

Copyhold Messuage or Tenement with the outhouses garden orchards yards

backsides with ye appurtenances there unto belonging situate standing

lying being within p[ar]ish & manor of West Drayton in the 

County of Middlesex unto my loving wife Mary Wakefield during 

ye time of her natural life & from & immediately after her decease 

to my daughter Mary Wakefield & to her heirs & assigns forever

Item I do give all that my Customary or Copyhold Cottage or 

tenement with ye barn outhouses orchard garden yard & back sides

with ye appurtenances thereunto belonging situate standing lying & 

being in ye Mill Lane in Colebrook and within ye pish of Langley 

Marish and & now in possion of Richd Gill unto my said wife Mary

Wakefield during the term of her natural life & from and imediately

 after her decease to my sd daughter Mary Wakefield her heirs & 

assigns for ever Item I do give al that my Customary of Copyhold

Cottages tenement with ye outhouse garden orchard yard & backsides

thereunto belonging situate standing lying & being in 

Horsemoor Green within ye pish & manor of Langley Marish

and now in the possession of    Dule unto my said wife Mary 

Wakefield during ye time of her natural life & from & immediately 

after her decease unto my sd daughter Mary Wakefield her 

heirs & assigns for ever Item I do give all that my freehold

Messuage or tenement with barn outhouses orchards gardens yards 

backsides & all other ye appurtenances thereunto belonging situate

standing lyeing & being in horsemoor Green and within ye pish

of Langley Marish and & win in possession of Wm Barringer unto 

my sd wife Mary Wakefield during ye term of her natural life &

after her decease unto my sd daughter Mary Wakefield her

heirs & her assigns for ever Provided nevertheless that if my said

Daughter Mary Wakefield shall happened to dye before the 

attainment to her full age of one & twenty years in such

case my Will & meaning is And I do hereby give all my

sd customary or Copyhold & also freehold Messuages, Cottages or

Tenements before mentioned with their & any of their rights

members & appurtenances unto my wife Mary Wakefield & her

her heirs & assigns for ever Item I do give unto my sd daughter 

Mary Wakefield ye sume of one hundred pounds to be paid

her by my Executrix hereafter named with interest from my 

decease after ye rate of five pounds p cent  And when 

shall have attained to her full age of one and twenty years

Item I do give unto my heirs Eliza Greenway ye summe of two 

pounds to be paid her my Executors at ye end of two years

next after my decease All ye residue of my Estate both real

& personal my debts legacys & funeral expenses being fully

paid & discharges I give unto my loving wife Mary Wakefield whom

I do make full & sole executor of this my last will and testament and I doe

hereby revoke disavow and make void all former wills & bequests

heretofore by me made In witness whereof I have hereunto set my 

hand and seal the day and year first above written   Richd Wakefield

Signed sealed published pronounced & declared by ye within named 

Riched Wakefield to be his last will & testament in the presence of John

Lane   Wm Wilde   John Saltmarsh
