Will if Virgo, William Yeoman of Horton 1709
In the Name of God Amen
I William Virgo of the parish of Horton in the County of
Bucks Yeoman do make this my last Will and Testament
in manner following my Soul with all humility of Spirit I surrender
unto God the father my Creator in the Merits of God the
Son my Redeemer My Body I desire may be decently buries
at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named And as
to my worldly Estate I dispose thereof in this manner first

I will that all such Debts as I shall owe at the time of my
death be fully paid and satisfied as soon as conveniently
may be after my decease I do give and devise unto my
loving wife Elizabeth Virgoe all those my three Messuages
or Tenements in Colebrook in the Parish of Langley Marish in
the County of Bucks and to Acres of Meadow or Pasture
Ground be the same more or less lying in a certain Mead called
Maid Hey the which said Messuages Ground and Premisses I
lately purchased of Mrs Chapman and Mr? Clayton And also
my two Cottages or Tenements with their appurtenances lying and
being in Colebrook in the said Parish of Langley Marish and
County of Bucks which I purchased of John Whicherly To have
and to hold the same and every of them with their appurtenances
unto my said wife Elizabeth Virgo her heirs and Assigns for
ever I do give and devise all that my Copyhold Land lying
and being in the parish of Langley Marish in the said County
of Bucks which I purchased of Robert Merry and all and singular
my Copyhold land at Stanwell in the County of Middlesex unto
my son Thomas Virgo and his heirs for ever I do give and
devise unto my Son William Virgo and his heirs all that my
freehold land containing together one and twenty acres be
the same more or lass lying and being in Horton in the said
County of Bucks with the appurtenances which I purchased of
John Haynes Yeoman deceased To have and to hold the same
and every part thereof with the appurtenances unto my said Son
William Virgo his heirs and Assigns for ever I do give and
devise unto my Son John Virgo and his heirs all those my Eight
Acres of Meadow or Pasture ground with the appurtenances
lying at the North West end of Colnbrook in the parish or Iver
and County of Bucks which I purchased of the said Mrs Chapman
and Mr Clayton To have and to hold the said Meadow or pasture
Ground with their and every of their appurtenances unto my said
son John Virgo his heirs and assigns for ever I do give and
devise unto my son Francis Virgo and his heirs all that my Copyhold
Messuage or Tenement with the Land hereditaments and premises
thereunto belonging which I purchased of Hercules Cox situate
lying and being in the parish and Manor of Langley Marish
in the said County of Bucks and which I have surrendered according
to Law to the use of my Will To have and to hold the same with
their appurtenances unto my said Son Francis Virgo his heirs
and Assigns for ever Whereas my daughter Jane Virgo at
the Age of One and Twenty years will be entitled unto the sum
of One hundred and fifty pounds by and under the Will of my
late brother Thomas Virgo deceased to whom I am Executor
now I do hereby ratify and confirm the said Will relating to the
said Legacy or Legacies and desire the same may be paid accordingly
And I do hereby give and devise unto my said daughter Jane
Virgo the sum of fifty pounds of Lawful money of Great Britain
to be paid her at her said age of one and twenty years I do
give and devise all that my freehold Messuage or Tenement
the ground and appurtenances thereunto belonging situate and being
in Colebrook in the said Parish of Langley Marish and County

of Bucks which I purchased of William Darvill unto my daughter
Elizabeth Virgo and her heirs in lieu and full satisfaction of the
Legacy or Legacies given and bequeathed unto her in and by the
Will of my said late brother Thomas Virgo To hold the same
with the appurtenances unto my said daughter Elizabeth Virgo
her heirs and Assigns for ever But in case my said daughter
Elizabeth shall within three months next after she shall attain her
Age of One and Twenty years refuse to accept of the said house
and premisses in lieu and full satisfaction of such Legacy or Legacies
given her by the will of my said brother Thomas aforesaid
and to discharge my executors from the same Then and upon such
refusal I do hereby give and devise the same house ground
and appurtenances unto my said son Thomas Virgo and his heirs
for ever Upon condition nevertheless that he pays unto the said
Elizabeth his sister the Legacy or Legacies given her by the Will
of my said brother Thomas And I do hereby charge my said
son Thomas and the effects that he shall arise by this my Will
upon such her refusal with the payment of her said Legacy or
Legacies left her by the Will of my said brother Thomas And
I do give and devise unto her my said daughter Elizabeth the
sum of fifty pounds of lawful British Money to be paid her
at her age of one and twenty years And in case any of my
said sons shall happen to dye without Issue lawfully begotten
before they attain their respective ages of one and twenty years
Then I do give and bequeath the Estate or Legacy so given unto
him or them as aforesaid unto my surviving sons and their heirs
equally to be divided between them share and share alike And
in case either of my said daughters shall happen to dye before
she attains her Age or one and twenty years Then the portion
or legacy of her so dying shall be and remain to my other
surviving daughter And I do hereby order and direct that
the Rents Issues and profits of all and singular the aforesaid
Messuages or Tenements Lands Hereditaments and premises so
given to my said sons and daughters as aforesaid shall be had
and received my said wife Elizabeth during their respective
Minorities for and towards their and my said daughter Janes
support and maintenance And I do charge and direct my said
executors to find and provide all things necessary and convenient
for my said children during their minority and residence
with the said Elizabeth my wife out of my whole effects All the
Rest residue of my estate not herein before given and devised
after my debts and funeral charges and legacies paid and
discharged and this my will in all parts fully performed I do
give and devise unto my said wife and son Thomas Virgo
equally to be divided between them share and share alike I do
give and devise unto Robert Shackle of Horton in the said
County of Bucks yeoman and Walter Virgo of sunbury in the
County of Middlesex Yeoman a guinea apiece to my them
rings And I do nominate and appoint my said Wife
Elizabeth and son Thomas Virgoe Executors of this my last
Will and Testament And the said Robert Shackle and Walter
Virgo overseers thereof and desire them to be aiding and assisting

affairs I commit the care and Tuition and education of my children
to my wife Elizabeth I do revoke all other wills by me at any
time heretofore made and do declare this to be my last will and
Testament In witness that is my last Will and Testament
contained in three sheets of paper I have to every of the said
sheets subscribed my name and to the top of the first and bottom
of the last set my seal the twelfth day of September one thousand
