Will of Underwood, Edward 1729 


In the name of God Amen

I Edward Underwood of Colnbrook in the County of Bucks Inn

holder being sick and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind

and memory (praised be God) do make this my last will and 

testament in manner and forme following First and principally I 

commend my soul in to the hands of God my Creator trusting for a 

free pardon of my sins through the merits of Christ my Redeemer

My body I commit to the Earth to be decently buried at the discretion

of my Executrix hereafter names And as to such worldly goods

which it pleased God to bless me with in this world I give and 

dispose thereof followeth First I will that all such debts that 

I shall owe to any person or person at the time of my decease be

paid with all convenient speed Item All the rest and residue of my 

Estate of what kind or nature soever either real or personal I give 

and bequeath unto my loving wife Ann Underwood whome I doe

hereby make full and sole executrix of this my will and I doe 

hereby revoke and make void al former Will or Wills by me 

heretofore made either by word of mouth or in writing In witness

whereof I have hereinto set my hand and seal this third day

of May in the second year of the reign of our soveraigne Lord

George the Second by the grace of God of Great Britain France

and Ireland King defender of the faith &c. And in the year of our 

Lord one thousand seven hundred and twenty nine Edward 

Underwood Signed sealed published and declared by the said 

Testator and for his last Will and Testamet in the presence of 

us who have set our names as Witnesses the marjs of  Nicholas Jones 

Eliner Audry  Dan Foster
