In the Name of God Amen I Joseph

Kimber of Colebrook Bucks being of sound mind and memory

do make this my last Will and Testament and dispose of my 

worldy effects and property as follows first I devise my just

debts and funeral expenses to be paid as soon as may be after my

decease I give bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Redworth 

wife of William Redworth my freehold house situate in

Mill Lane in Colebrook called Langley Marsh and I give and 

bequeath unto my brother Peter Kimber my freehold piece 

of Land containing twenty six poles situate by the Road side 

in Langley Marsh aforesaid on the North side of the Road

the rest and residue of my property of every description I give 

and bequeath as follows to my sister Elizabeth Redworth

I give and bequeath four hundred pounds to my brother 

Peter Kimber I give and bequeath two hundred and

fifty pounds and to my sister Mary Moxon widow two

hundred and fifty pounds and I give and bequeath unto

Ann Kimber my oldest sister one hundred pounds and if 

upon my property being valued it should amount to more 

than the legacies herein mentioned I devise the rest and 

residue may be equally divided between my aforesaid 

brother and three sisters and I hereby nominate and appoint

Mr James Ruff Senior of Sunbury trustee in all my concerns

 and for his trouble in Executing & performing and assisting     

in my affairs I give and bequeath unto him the said Mr

James Ruff the sum of fifty pounds to be paid out of 

my personal estate and I hereby nominate and appoint 

the said Mr James Ruff and my brother Peter Kimber 

Executors of this my last will made this twenty seventh

day of April 1812 and to which I now set my hand & shall

declaring this to be my last will & testament      Joseph

Kimber    signed sealed & delivered in the presence of 

Jno Leopord  John Eddvell   John Clorurson  


Proved 11 May 1812   to Peter Kimber


On the 31 Oct 1842 administration 

with the Will annexed of the goods 

chattels and audits or Joseph 

Kimber late of Colnbrook in the

County of Buckingham deceased 

left un-administered by Peter 

Kimber deceased whilst living

The Brother one of the executors

and one of the Resudial Legatees

names in the said will was 

granted to Ann Bailey Wife of 

the Revd William Bailey the 

sole executrix of the Will of

Elizabeth Redworth Widow 

deceased whilst living the sister 

and one other of the residuary 

legatees named in the said Will having 

been first sworn duly to admistrate

the said Peter Kimber died 

intestate James Ruff the other

executor and the … … 

legatee In trust died without having

proved the said Will and the said 

Elizabeth Redworth and also

Mary Moxon Widow and Ann 

Kimber spinster the sisters 

also and the other residuary 

legatees named in the said Will 

survived the said  Testator and 

are all since dead.
