In the Name of God Amen I
John Hetherington of Colnbrook in the parish of Langley Marish in the County of
Bucks Grocer and Tallow Chandler being weak in body but of sound mind memory and
understanding do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament as follows I give and
devise all my freehold and Copyhold estates wheresoever situated and which
Copyhold have been duly surrendered to the use of my Will unto my two sons John
Hetherington and Robert Hetherington their heirs executors and administrators respectively
according to the nature of the several Estates Upon the trusts nevertheless and to the
intents and purposes hereinafter declared of and concerning the same that is to say upon
trust to collect the rents issues and profits of all my said Estates and after deducting all
taxes Insurances and the expenses of necessary repairs to pay the remainder into the
proper hands of my wife Mary Hetherington during her natural life for her own
use and bought in addition all other provisions made for her and from and after
her decease I then direct that the rents issues and profits of all those my Copyhold Cottages
with the lands and appurtenances thereto belonging situate at Stanwell in the county
of Middlesex after making the necessary deductions as before mentioned into the proper hands
of my Daughter Mary Pasmore wife of Ephraim Pasmore of Staines in the County
of Middlesex and for which her reciept alone shall be their discharge for and during
the term of her natural life and from and after her decease then to assign for ever
and also after my said wifes decease I then direct that the rents issues and profits of all
that my freehold estate with the garden and appurtenances thereto belonging situate in
Colnbrook aforesaid and now in the occupation of Martha Arnold and also all charery?
Copyhold Estate situate in Colnbrook aforesaid in the occupation of Thomas King and
Ann Richardson with the orchard and appurtenances thereto belonging after paying all
aecepary taxes insurances and repairs be paid by my Trustees before mentioned into the
proper hands of my daughter Sarah Cooper wife of William Cooper of Maidenhead in
the Country of Berks Coachmaker and for which her receipt alone shall be their discharge
for and during the four of her natural life and from and after her decease to assign
make over the freehold and copyhold estates situate in Colnbrook as aforesaid with
their appurtenances to the children of my said daughter Sarah who may be then
living And I then give and devise the said freehold and Copyhold estates situate ay
Colnbrook aforesaid to the said Children of my said Daughter Sarah to be divided
equally between them share and share alike their respective heirs and assigns forever
and also afrer my said wife’s decease I give and devise all those my two freehold
Meadows known by the name of Broad Mead and the slip adjoining the Bath
Road in the parish of Stanwell in the county of Middlesex with the appurtenances
thereto belonging to my Son John Hetherington and my Son Hetherington
equally between them their respective heirs and assigns forever I also give and
bequeath to my said Son Robert the goodwill of my business together with all and
singular my Stock in made utensils of readin? horse carts and harness and also my books
doors the paying thereout all my just debts And whereas Ephram Pasmore the
husband of my Daughter Mary before mentioned is indebted to me in Bond four
hundred pounds I give and bequeath the said summ? for four hundred pounds with all
interest due thereon to my said Daughter Mary for her own use and benefit And
whereas I have Three hundred pounds Stock in the Navy five per cents I give & bequeath
the said three hundred pounds stock to my said Trusteed my Son John
and son Robert on further trust to receive the dividends arising therefrom and pay them
into the proper hands of my before various daughter Sarah for and during the
term of her natural life and from and after her decease to transfer and make ever the
said three hundred pounds Stock equally amongst the children of my said daughter
Sarah who may be then living share and share alike I give and bequeath to my said
wife Mary the use of her natural life and from and after her decease I give the
pate equally amongst my four children before mentioned I also then give and
bequeath the furniture of the chamber over the parlour to my daughter Mary
the furniture of the chamber over the Sitting Room to my daughter Sarah All
the rest and remainder of my furniture Sawre? and China I then give to my aforesaid
Son Robert All the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate of whatever
nature and description it may me and wheresoever lying or being I give and bequeath
to my afore mentioned Wife Mary Hetherington she paying thereout my funeral and
testamentary expences And lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my before
mentioned two sons John Hetherington and Robert Hetherington joint Trustees and
joint Executors to this my last will and Testament hereby revoking all former wills
or will by me at any time heretofore made declaring this to be my last In witness
whome I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty third day of December
in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixteen John Hetherington
Signed sealed published and declared by the said John Hetherington the
Testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his
presence and at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto J. B. Nuish of
