In the Name of God Amen I David Salter of Iver alias Ever in the County of Bucks gent being weak and infirme in body but of sound and perfect for which thereof I most humbly thank my gracious God And considering the certanty of death and the uncertainty of this transitory life doe make and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following And first I comitt my Soule into the hands of my maker merciful God hoping that my and through the glorious death and passion of his dearly beloved sonne Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to have pardon and forgiveness for all my sinnes & Transgressions My body I comitt to the Earth from whence it came to bee buried in the Chancell of the Church of Iver alias Ever aforesaid and in or near the Grave wherein my late deceased wife was buries and as decently be the discretion og my Executor herein after named as becometh a man of my degree and calling And as touching such worldly goods and Substance as had in his goodness and mercy hath endenied mee withall I give and dispose of the same as followeth And first for the honar of the Almighty God and the comfort of Six poore people of the parish of Farnham Royall in the said County of Bucks I doe give and bequeath one annuity or yearly payment of Seaventeene shillings of Lawful English money to Sr George Tayhe of Iver alias Ever aforesaid Knight William Salter of the same parish and County Esquire Edmund Kederminster Thomas Berringer William Bowyer Michaell Neninam the younger of the name parish and County gent and to James Smith of the same yeoman and to James Smith the Younger his sonne and to their heirs and assigns to bee yearly and every year issueing going and paiable out of my livening house in Iver alias Ever aforesaid and out of my Orchards Gardens yards and Backsides to the same belonging and On the Southside and Westside thereof adjoining in all containing five acres of ground or thereabouts And out of my fower Closes of Arrible meadowe and pasture ground lying near unto and on the southside and eastside thereof and the profitts thereof by the Owners Farmers or Tennants thereof Whatever they may happen to be in and uppon the feast of St Michael The Archangell only in every yeare To the use of two poore men of the parish of Farnham Royal aforesaid of which the parish clerke for the tyme being to be always ever and of fower of the poorest Widdows of the said parish to be always cloaked elected and chosen by the parson or Minister and the Churchwardens of the same parish for the time being or the greatest part of them and as often as there shall be cause by reason of deaths or otherwise To have and to hold the said Annuity or yearly ?? or some of Seaventeene shillings unto the said Sir George Tashe William Salter Edmund Kederminster Thomas Berringer William Bowyer Michaell Newnam James Smith and James Smith and to their Heirs and assigns, but to bee againe by them or some or one of them or by the Churchwardens or parish clerke or some other person by their or some of their appointment for ever hereafter yearly implant? distrubited and laid out to and for the reliefe of the said two men and four poore widdows for six loaves of bread of the barlie of five pence a peece and twelve penniworth of white watered herrings to be brought into the said parish church of Farnham Royall aforesaid and there set in wooden platters in come condiment and eminent place upon every Sunday morning in every Lent yearly to the end that every will disposed parishioner then and there present may see the same after devine service and sermon (if any) bee bee ended delivered to them according to my true meaning and Devise that so they may not bee deceived thereof without the knowledge of the parishoners and Minister who I hope will always stand for the truth for which God will bless them and upon every Easter day following a six penny loaf a peece of Wheaten bread with the Advantage for the parish Clerk which in the whole in the same of fifteene shillings and the other two shillings reside of the said summe of Seaventeene shillings to bee by them likewise distrubuted for a paire of kidskin gloved to be delivered to the parson or Minister of the said parish for the tyme being in the morning of their first Sunday in every Lent yearly and at his deske in the church before the beginnin to doe the office of a Minister Item I give devise and bequeath my said dwelling house in Shredding Greene in Iver alias Euer aforesaid and all and every the barnes stables outhouses edifices buildings yards gardens and the said two orchards contayning about five acres of ground with the appurtenances thereunto belonging And alsoe all those my fower closes of arable meadow and pasture ground with their appurtenances and all the rents issues and profitts of the same charges with the said Annuity of seveanteen shillings in manner aforesaid and for the uses aforesaid unto my sonne William Salter and the heirs of his body begotten or to b begotten And for want of such issue to him the said William Salter and his right heires for ever Item I give and bequeath the Annuity Rent or moiety payment of seventeen shillings of lawfull English Money to the Right Hble? St George Tashe of Iver alias Euer aforsaid Knight William Salter of the same Esquire Edmund Kederminister of the same gent Robert Stile of Upton in the said County gent Thomas Carter of Denham in the ssid County yeoman and Thomas Cuiker his sonnes Symon Perryman John Jues and John Cranwell the younger of Farneham Royall in the said County yeoman and to their heires and assignes to bee wisely isueing goring and bee paid out of my Messuage or Tenement and the Rents and profitts thereof in Colebrooke and now in the tenure and occupation of one Ludlow a Glover And alsoe out of my close at Iver alias Euer aforesaid and adjoyninge valew in for diverse yeares yet to come and alsoe in pightle or close of pasture called Dibbe hall situate in Shredding Greene aforesaid with their and every of their appurtenances To Elizabeth the daughter of my deceased sonne David Salter and her heires forever Item I give and bequeath to the said Elizabeth my grand-child my Acre of land in Meadfield in the parish of Langley Marrishe with the appurtenances after the death of the said Etheldred Urlewin to her the saie Etheldred and her heires foreever and in the meane tyme I give her the Rent of the same which the said Etheldred is to pay for the same Item I give and bequeath to my sonne in Law Thomas Carter of Denham Twenty shillings and to my daughter his wife and my sonne Willians wife Twenty shillings and to my sonne Charles twenty shillings his wife Twenty shillings and to my Servant Etheldred Urlewin Thirteene shillings and fower pence to bee paid them within one whole yeare next after my decease And I alsoe give to each of the children of my said sonnes Thomas Carter William Salter and Charles Salter six shillings and eight pence a peece to bee likewise paid them within two years next after my decease The residue of all my goods and chattles whatsoever unnamed and bequeathed I give and bequeath unto my said sonne William Salter and I doe make and ordaine hime my said sonne William Salter sole executor of this my last Will and Testament And I doe nominate and appoint my loving Kinsman Mr Robert Stile of Upton and my loving sonne in law Thomas Carter of Denham overseers of the same and for such paines as they shall take in that behalfe I give to either of them Tenn shillings to buy them rings withall In witness whereof I the said David Salter have hereunto sett my hand and seale Revoking all former wills by me made whatsoever The twentieth say of August of Anno Dom 1664 And in the sexteenth yeare of the raigne of our soveraigne Lord Charles the second by the grace of God King of England Scotland France and Ireland defender of the faith David Salter
