In the name of God Amen
I John Ashton of Colnbrook in the parish of
Langley Marish in the County of Bucks Shopkeeper
being of sound mind memory and understanding and
considering the uncertainly of human life, do make and
ordain this my last will and Testament as follows first I
devise that my body may be decently interred in Horton
Church yard. I give and bequeath to my nephew
James Ashton on Shilling I give and bequeath to my
niece Ann Lewer? five pounds, I give and bequeath to my
niece Fanny Fulkes twenty pounds I give and bequeath
to my niece Elizabeth Stocker five pounds, all which afore-
mentioned Legacies I direct mat be paid by my Executor
hereinafter named out of my Estate within six months
after my decease I give and bequeath to Fanny Ashton
daughter of my afore mentioned nephew James Ashton
five pounds to be paid her by my Executor hereinafter named
when she shall have attained the age of twenty one years
I give my five Silver Tea Spoons to Sarah Ashton my Gilt
spoon to Ann Ashton and my pair of silver tablespoons
to John Ashton children of my nephew Thomas Ashton
All the rest residue and remainder of my estate or estates
and effects real and personal and to what nature and
description soever and wheresoever lying or being after my
first debts funeral and testamentary expenses are paid I
give devise and bequeath to my before mentioned nephew
Thomas Ashton of Colnbrook aforesaid Schoolmaster his
heirs and assigns forever And lastly I nominate constitute
and appoint my aforementioned nephew Thomas Ashton
sole Executor to this my last will and testament hereby
revoking all former Will of Wills by me at any time
heretofore made declaring this to be my last In witness
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 22
day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand
eight hundred and two John Ashton Signed
sealed published and declared by the Testator John
Ashton as and for his last will and testament in the
presence of us who in his presence and at his request have
subscribed our names as witnesses thereto Tho Rayner
