In the name of God Amen;
the Eight day of August in the sixteenth yeare of the Rigne of our Soverigne
Lord Charles the second by the grace of God of Great Britaine France and Ireland
King defender of the faith etc And in the yeare of our Lord One thousand Six
hundred sixtie and fower I William Salter of Iver alias of Euer in the Countie of
Bucks Esq being sicke of bodie but of sounde and perfect mind and memorie
and understanding praised bee God doe make ordaine and publishe this my last
will and testament in manner followinge first asaid I yield and surrender my
immortal soule into the hands of Allmighty God and my bodie I bequeath and I do
committ unto the Earth from whence he came decently to be interred at the discretion
of my executors hereafter named. Assureing my selfe by faith in the merrits of
my blessed redeamer Jesus of a happy Ressurrection to life in the day of his side
Appearance in glory and alsoe and touching the worldly estate with which
it has pleased God to blessed me I make and ordaine there to the disposition
in manner and forme following Vizt I doe give and bequeath by virtue of the
power limited and reserved to me in and by and indenture dated
of May in the sixteenth yeare of the Reigne of King Charles the second wherby
I mortgaged the same to one Mrs Lucy Webbe for a certeine summe of money therein
mentioned all that my Capitall Messuage or Tenement commonly called Richiking alias
Richeins in the parish of Iver aforesaid with all its rights members and apperte
nanaces and all other my messuage lande Tenements and heieditaments what
soever in the said Indenture comprised and mentioned with their appurtenances situated
and lying and being in the parishes of Iver and Langley in the Countie of Bucks
aforesaid unto Sr Charles Cleaver of Bygaves in the Countie of Hertford Knt
and Robert Child of Hayes in the Countie of Middlesex Esq and their assignes
upon spdgiall trust and considentd that is to say that they my said trustees
Surviver of them or the heire of the survivor of them shall and will aforesaid as
conveniently they said after my decease alien and sell the said premises and
dispose of the said moneyes assige by this she thereof as I doe hereby limitt
and appointe vist my will and meaning is that if in the first place the said summe of
money due on the mortgage aforesaid to Mr Lucy Webb and all other debts what
soever that I shall owe at the time of my decease And all my legacies and
funeral expenditure shall be discharges and fully satisfied out of the moneys anything by the
aforesaid Then my will and meaninge is that if
my said Trustees or the survivors of the heire of the survivor of them shall pay
the interest and enjoye of the surplussage of the money assigned by such sale
to my deare wife Susanna Salter soe longe as sge shall continue a widdow
for and towards the maintenance and support of my two daughters Anne and
Susanna And if my said wife shall happen to marrie or dye then my wish is
that the proffitt and enterests of the surplusses of the said money shall be and
asssigned ? for said daughters either ? of them for their maintenand
And after my further will and intenetion to that their whole … of the
said moneys be equally divided between them at their respective ages of eighteen
years or days of marriage which shall first happen but if either of them shall happen to dye
befoe their respective ages or days of marriage then my will and meaning is the surviving daughter shall
have the whole but if they both happen to dye before their respective ages or dayes of
marriage then my will and meaning is that the emolusage after daid shall bee and
