In the name of God Amen O George Calvert of the parish of Stanwell in the County of 

Middx, Clerke being Infirm in body but of sound and disposing mind memory praised be Almighty God

for the same and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life doe make and ordaine this my last 

will and testament in manner following first and principally I recommend my soule into the hands of 

God that gave it hoping for a joyful resurrection at the last day of eternal life through the alone

merits of my blessed Lord and saviours Jesus Christ and my body I commit to the Earth to be decently 

interred at the discretion of my Executors herein after named and touching such temporal Estate as it

hath pleases God to bless me with I will devise and bequeath the same as followeth I Imprimis I give and

bequeath unto my loving wife Anne Calvert the summe of Tenn pounds of Lawful money of England to

by her mourning Item I give and bequeath unto my Daughter Elizabeth Calvert  the summe of five

pounds of the English money to buy her mourning And I further will and bequeath unto my said

daughter Elizabeth the summe of Three hundred pounds of like English money to be paid her at her 

day of marriage and in the Interim I doe will and order that the said three hundred pounds shall be 

placed fourth at Interest on good security such as my said daughter Elizabeth and John Meale of Colebrook

in the countie of Bucks gent shall approve of And I doe hereby order my said Executor herein after named to pay unto my 

said Daughter Elisabeth Calverll her legacy of Three hundred pounds herein before bequeathed shall become

due and payable the full summe of Twenty pounds yearly without any manner of deduction whatsoever by  

equal quarterly payments the first payment thereof to begin and be made on the first general ? quarter day

next after my decease And in case my said daughter Elizabeth shall happen to live sole and unmarried

during her natural life Then it shall and may be lawful to and for the said Elizabeth to dispose of any

summe of money not exceeding one hundred pounds part of the said three hundred pounds by her last &

Testament in writing or by any other deed or writing duley expressed by her in her lifetime in the presence 

of two or more credible witnesses to any person or persons as she shall think fit which said summe of one

one hundred pounds or part thereof so to be disposed of by the said Elizabeth as aforesaid I doe will and

direct shall be paid to to such person or persons as such time or times and and in such manner and form as she the

said Elizabeth by her said Will or other writeing shall limit and appoint Item I give and devise unto

sone William Calvert the sum of five pounds to by him mourning and I further will and devise unto

my said sone William Calvert the summe of one hundred pounds of Lawful money of England to be

paid him at his age of two and twenty years  And I doe hereby direct and order my said Executors to find

him in all manner of necessary apparell suitable to his for and during the remainder of the 

terme of his apprenticeship when and so often as he shall have occasion without making and deduction to

him out of the said legacy before bequeathed And in case my said daughter shall happen to depart

this natural life sole and unmarried and the said William her brother has to survive Then and such case I doe

hereby will and devise one moyety of half of the Legacy before bequeathed unto her ( in case she dyes sole and

unmarried) that shall rest undisposed of by her at the time of her decease unto my first Sone William Calvert to 

be paid him within six months next after her decease And in case my said sone Willian Calvert shall happen to 

dye before the Legacy herein before bequeathed unto him shall become due and payable and the said Elizabeth

my daughter him to survive Then I doe Will the said one hundred pounds Legacy bequeathed unto the said William aforesaid

unto my said daughter Elizabeth to be paid her at such time as is herein before mentioned for the payment 

thereof in case the said William had then been Living And all the rest and residue of my Estate not

herein before bequeathed I doe give and bequeath Unto my Eldest sone John Calvert whom I doe make

and ordaine full and some executor of this my last will and Testament And I doe hereby revoke and 

annul all former will and wills by me hereto made and doe declare this to be my last will and testament

In witness whereof I the said George Calvert have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet

and thus much of an other sheet of paper set my hand at the bottom of the first sheet and my hand and

seale to this other part thereof this nineteenth day of October in the seaventh year of the Reigne of our

Sovereign Lord William the Third by the grace of God King of England &c. Anno Dom  1695
