I Edward Chapman of Colebrook in the countie of Buck
Whereof doe make this my Last will in manner & form foll-
owing First I give devise and bequeath unto my trustie &
well beloved friends Richard Finch of Stanwell in the Countie of
Middx Tanner Edmund Board of Colebrooke in the Countie of Bucks
Shoemaker Henry Gosse [or Goffe] of Colebrooke aforesaid mercer theire heires
and Assignes forever All my Lands and Tenements & hereditaments
whatsoever in the parish of Kingston Upon Thames in ye Countie of
Surrey or refe sohere in Tenst To the use purposes and intent my
those pendt hereafter mentioned That is to say to make sale thereof for
the payment of my debts and Legacies in those pride? mentioned Item
I give to my Brother William Chapman the summe of Thirtie pounds
To be payd him by on the fort and twentieth day of June in the year
of our Lord Christ One Thousand Six Hundred and fiftie and nine
Item I ginve and bequeath to my Brother James Chapman the
Summe of Thirtie pounds To be payd him upon the fowre and Twentie
day of June In the year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Six
hundred fiftie and nine. Item I give to Benjamine Fellow son of
George Fellow of Colebrook aforesaid Taylor the summe of Thirteen
pounds To be payd him ehe he shall accomplish the Age of Two
years And if he doth dye Then the said summe of Thirtie pounds
be payd to the aforesaid George Fellow upon the fowre & Twentieth
day of June in the years of our Lord Christ One Thousand Six
hundred fiftie and nine Item I give my aforesaid trustie friend
Power to pay themselves what monie they shall lay out in ye prosecution
of their Trust And after my debts is paid and my legacies is
satisfied I give the overplus of the monies left of the sale of my Lands
the one moyetie to Elizabeth my wife And the other moystie to bequeathed
Divided and disposed of betweene my Two Children If my wife be with
child and for their be at the discretion of my Trustees aforesaid until
they shall accomplish the age of one and Twentie years or be married ot
to the survivors of them But if the be not with child Then the
moyotie onlie to my daughter Elizabeth To be payd of disposed of for
her use within Two years after my decease at the discretion of my Trustees
aforementioned until the I have accomplish the Age of one & twenty
years or be married And if my children or child dye without Issue
before they accomplish the age of one and twenty years that I have
noe Issue alive Then my will is That my wife shall have the other
Magetie also And All the rest of my goods and Chattels I give to
Elizabeth my wife and make her my full and whole Executrix of this my
Last Will and Testament And gibe her All my goods and Chattels whatsoever
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seale This
Nineteenth day of August in the yeare of our Lord Christ One
Thousand Six hundred fiftie and seven Edward Chapman
Signed sealed & published as the Last will and Testament of the said
Edward Chapman in the presence of Christopher Meele Robert Ebgore?
Proved 22 September 1657 to Elizabeth Chapman the Relict and sole executrix
