In the name of God Amen the 4th day of October  Anno

Domni 1672 in the four and twentieth yeare of the Reigne of 

our sovereigne Lord King Charles the second of England 

I John Child of Colebrook in the p[ar]ish of Langley Marish

in the countie of Buck Dyer being weake in bodie but of a

perfect mind and memory Thankes be to almighty god doe

make this my last will and testament first I commytt

my soule unto the hands of allmightie god and my body to the 

earth to be buried at the discretion of my executrix hereafter 

named Item I give devise and bequest unto my dear and lov-

ing wife Sarah for and during the terme of her nat-

rall life all that my now dwelling house the appurtenances

situate and being in Colebrook in the p[ar]ish of Langley

Marish aforesaid, and after her decease to my sonne John and

his heires for ever, Item I give and bequeath unto my Children 

Sarah John William and Henry to each of them one shilling

Item all other my goods and chattells whatsoever I give and 

bequeath unto my said loving wife Sarah and doe hereby 

make her sole executrix to this my last will and testament 

In witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and 

seale the day and year above written
