In the name of God Amen 

I Elizabeth Davis of Colnbrook in the County of Buckingham

Widow do make my last Will and Testament in manner and form 

following that is to say I give and bequeath unto my eldest brother

John Low the sum of Five Shillings I give devise and bequeath 

unto my Niece Elizabeth Sadgrove one if the daughters of my 

brother in law William Sadgrove and of my Sister Sarah is wife

all that Messuage Cottage or Tenement situate standing and

being in Colnbrook aforesaid in the parish of Langley Marish

wherein I now dwell between a Messuage or Tenement called the 

White Hart in the West and another Messuage or Tenement of 

me the said Elizabeth Davis on the East and the Kings High Way

on the South the yard backside or Garden and appurtenances 

thereunto belonging and also all my household Goods and Implements

of household stuff to have and to hold Messuage Cottage or 

Tenement and premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging and also

the said household Goods and Implements of household stuff unto the said 

Elizabeth Sadgrove her heirs and

assigns forever she or they paying unto Niece Elizabeth

Low daughter of my brother Richard Low the sum of forty 

pounds of lawfull money of Great Britain at her age of twenty o

one years or day of Marriage which shall first happen and

lawfull interest for the same in the mean time and I doe 

hereby give the said forty pounds with Interest to my said

Niece Elizabeth How       to be paid and afore said and do hereby 

charge the said Messuage or Tenement and goods with the 

payment thereof accordingly and I do hereby impower the said 

William Sadgrove and his executors or Administrators during the

Minority of the said Elizabeth Sadgrove to Demise and Lett 

the said Messuage or Tenement to best advantage and to

receive the Rents and profits thereof and to pay the Interest 

— the said forty pounds and apply the residue of the rents

and profits for the benefit and advantage or the said Elizabeth

Sadgrove I give devise and bequeath unto my Niece Mary

Sadgrove All that my Messuage or Tenement Situate and 

being in Colnbrook aforesaid between a Messuage or

Tenement of me the said Elizabeth Davis on the West and a

Messuage or Tenement of the Widow Tomson on the East and

now in the Tenure or Occupation of Thomas Simpson with the 

Yard backside or Garden and appurtenances thereunto belonging 

To have and to hold the said Messuage or Tenement and 

premises with the appurtenances unto the said Mary Sadgrove 

her heirs & assigns for ever and I do hereby impower the

said Willliam Sadgrove her father his Executors or administrators to

demise and Lett the same to the best advantage and to receive 

the rents and profits thereof during her minority and apply

the same for her benefit I also give to the said Mary Sadgrove 

my Silver Cup I give to my Niece Ann East and Elizabeth 

East the summ of apiece I give unto my Nephew John 

Low son of my Brother John five pounds and to my Niece 

Mary Low daughter of my said brother John the like sum of 

five pounds All the rest and residue of my Goods Chattells and 

personal estate after my debits and funeral expenses are

paid and discharged I give and bequeath unto my said brother 

in law William Sadgrove whom I make constitute and appoint 

full and sole executor of this my last Will and Testament  In 

Witness whereof I have here unto sett my hand and Seal the 

Eleventh day of December in the Twelfth year of the Reigne 

of Our Soverigne Lord George the Second by the Grace of 

God of Great Britain France and Ireland King Defender of the

faith and so forth and in the year of our Lord One Thousand

Seven Hundred and Thirty Eight. Eli Davess  Signed and

Sealed Published and Declared by the said Testatiux as and 

for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us who 

have subscribed our names as Witnesses at her request and
