In the Name of God Amen I Timothie West of Horton in the County of Bucks paper maker being sick and weak in body but of perfect and sound mind and memorie thanks be to Almightie God and considering the uncertainty of the continuance of this  present life and the certaintie of death I doe make this my last Will and  Testament in manner following (vizt) I commend my soule to God whoe gave it and my Bodie to the Earth hoping at the last day to receive a joyfull resurrection thereof to through the meritts and blood of my deare saviour and redeemer Jesus Christ And as to the Worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless mee I dispose of as followeth Inprimis I give and bequeath to my brother Richard West all and everie such summe and summes of money whatsoever which he oweth mee either by bond Bill or otherside Item I give to Henry West and Richard West Two of the sonnes of the said Richard West the summe of Twentie pounds apiece and to every other of the children of the said Richard West the summe of five pounds a peece the said several Legacies to be paid by my executors hereinafter  named within Twelve moneths time after my decease Item I give unto my  brother Thomas West and Katherine West his wife All that my cottage or  tenement with the appurtenances situate and being within the parish of  Horton where in he the said Thomas West now liveth for the Terme of thier natural lives and the life of the longer liver of them and after their decease I give and devise the same unto such children or child of the said Thomas West begotten on the bodie of the said Catherine as shall be then living at the time of the decease of the longest liver of the said Thomas and Katherine and his her and their heires for ever equally to be enjoyed or devided be held  them share and share alike Item I give and bequeath unto Anne Pigg my sister the wife of Richard Pigg the summe of twentie pounds and to her  Three sonnes Richard John and Ralph Pigg the summe of Tenn pounds a  piece to be paid them at their respective ages of one and twenty yeares  And I doe hereby will and direct that my executor hereafter named shall maintiane and keepe my two Nephews William and Richard West the sonnes of my Brother William West deceased in dyett cloathing and other  necessaries and shall take care that my said Nephewes be taught to reade and write untill such time as they shall be fit to put forth to be apprentices and when they shall be fitt shall putt them forth apprentice to some good handy craft trades for the terme of seaven years a peece and at the expiration

or end of their said apprentishipps my will is that my Executors shall pay them fortie pounds apeece Item I give and bequeath to my nephew Timothy  West the sonne of my late brother William West the sume of twentie  poundes to be paid him when he shall attaine the age of one and twentie years Item I give and bequeath unto Samuel Holderness and John Holderness my kinsmen five pounds a peece to be paid them within twelve months after  my decease Item I give unto Elizabeth Barthelmew my maid servant five pounds if shee be living with meee at the time of my decease and I do give to Henry West whoe liveth with me five pounds to be paid him at the expiration of his apprentiship with me Item I give unto John Cooper and William  Mastin my servant if they shall be living with mee at the tyme of my decease Twentie shillings a peece to be paid within six months after decease Item I give and devise unto John West my nephew the sonne of William West my late brother deceased and to his heires and assigns for ever all that my messuages  or tenement lands and premisses with the appurtenances commonly called or  known be the name of Edwards his farm now in the possession of William  Tawnton situate lying and being in the parish of Horton aforesaid in the said county of Bucks and all the rest and residue of my Estate not herein before disposed of and bequeathed I doe hereby will and bequeath unto John West  my brother and John West my Nephew sonne of the said William West my  late brother deceased and I doe make them the said John West my brother  and the said John West my nephew executors of this my last Will and  Testament revoking all former and other will and wills by me made and  and doe hereby declare this to be my last will and testament In witness whereof I the said Timothy West have hereunto sett my hand and seale this  fower and twentieth day of September Anno Domini one thousand six hundred seaventy nyne  Anno que  R R Caroli Secondi munr Anglice vr: xxxi
