In the name of God Amen The Eighteenth day of November In the second year of the Reign of our Sovereigne Lord James the Second by the Grace of God of England Scotland France and Ireland King Defender of the faith &c. Annoy Domini One Thousand Six Hundres Eighty Six I John Larkin of Colebrook in the Parish of Stanwell in the County of Middlesex Scrivener being weake in body but of sound and perfect mind and memory thanks bee to Almighty God doe make and ordaine this my last Will and Testament and noe revoake all former Wills by mee made First I commit my Soule into the hands of Allmighty God And my body to the earth to bee buried at the discretion of my Executor hereafter named And as Touching my Temporall estate I doe dispose of the same as followeth Imprimis Whereas I have the summe of one hundred pounds lawfull money of England out at at Interest upon bond I give and bequeath tenn pounds parcel thereof unto my mother Hannah Pratt to bee paid unto her by the summe of three shillings weekly and every week until the summe of nine pounds the first payment to be made within one half year next after my decease Item I give and bequeath more thereof unto my brother James Larkin fifteen pounds unto by brothers Benjamine Larkin and Joseph Larkin and my sister Mary Larkin the severall summes of twelve pounds apeece To bee paid the said fifteen pounds to brother James Larkin and the said twelve pounds apeece to my said brothers Benjamine and Joseph and my sister Mary as they shall severally and respectively attain to the age of one and twenty years with such Interest as shall be raised of the said summes Benifit shall happen any of my daid brothers or sister to die or depart this life before they shall respectively attain to their said several ages of one and twenty years Then I give devise and bequeath the before bequeathed respective summes of money with the Interest thereof raised of such of my brothers of sister doe dyeing as aforesaid unto my said mother Hannah Pratt if she shall be surviving at their or any of their respective deaths But I if my said mother shall not bee surviving at the respective deaths of my said brothers or sister Then I give devise and bequeath the summe or summes of such of my said brothers or sister doe dying as aforesaid my mother not surviving them to the survivors or survivor of my said brothers or sister with the Interest raises thereof equally be divided amongst them share and share alike Item I give appoint and devise twenty pounds more thereof to be paid out and expended upon my funerall Item I give appoint and devise ten pounds more thereof to pay my debts at London Item I give and bequeath unto my said brother James Larkin my Trunke marked with Item I give to my Cosens Roger Eldridge the sum of Thirty pounds lawfull money of England to be paid to Mr Stephen Draper Physition if he shall cure me of now lamentable according to agreement or else to bee repaid to me against if the said Mr Draper shall not cure me I give devise and bequeath the said Thirty pounds if the said Mr Draper shall not cure me and all the rest of my money goods chattels and personal estate amongst my said mother Hannah Pratt and my said brothers and sister and the survivors or survivor of them after my debts are discharged equally to be divided amongst them share and share alike Nevertheless my will and true meaning is that my Executor hereafter named shall allow satisfie and pay himself out of my estate for all such charges loss of time and expenses as he shall be at expend or be put unto upon managing or defending and Suit in Law or upon any Accompte whatever concerning me or my Estate Item I make and constitute my uncle Roger Eldridge Executor of this my last Will and Testam- Item I give unto Christopher Links five shillings Item If the said Mr Draper shall not cure me of my said lamenesse nevertheless I give him twenty shillings if he shall deliver up my Articles and bond without trouble Item I give unto my said mother forty shillings more Item I give unto Richard Tudor of Colebrook in the County of Bucks Schoolmaster eight shillings to buy him a ring In witness whereof I have hereunto put my hand and seal the day and year first about above written John Larkin Sealed Signed Published and declared by the said John Larkin to be his last Will and Testament the wores both linnen and wollen named and out of my estate being first Interlines in the presence of John Tomson Senior, the mark of Christopher Hicks Richd Tudor
