In the name of God Amen, I Rennold Ludgoll of Colebrook in the County of Bucks Tanner although sicke in body yet perfect and will in mind and memory (god be praised ) do make this my last will and testament dated the Third day of October in the year of our Lord God One thousand six hundred thirty four in manner and former following Inprimis I bequeath my soul to Almighty God my creator and Redeemer And my body of the earth to be buried in Langley Church Item I give and bequeath unto my two brothers William Ludgoll of Staines and Richard Ludgoll of Kingstone all the monies which is owing unto me by Thomas Wright the elder of Colbrooke which is the full sum of thirteen pounds and seven pounds due unto me by the wife of Thomas Wright the younger of Colebrooke aforesaid And the sum of eight pounds owing unto me by Edward Bord of Colebrook And the sum of five pounds owing into my by John Woodward of Colbrooke And the sume of five pounds due unto me by Thomas Hobbs of Colbrooke aforesaid Item I give and bequeath unto William and Richard the sum of thirty shillings owing unto my by Edward Locke of Houndslow and the sone of twenty shillings due unto me by Blunt of Hounslow And the sum of four pounds and nine shillings owing unto me by Thomas Sowthern of Brainford And the sume of twenty shillings owing unto my by Thomas Chapman of Hammersmith Item I give and bequeath unto William and Richard the sum of three pounds ten shillings owing unto me by Thomas Allen the King’s Coachman living in the Strand and the sum of Thirty shillings owing unto my by Mr Rims at the sign of the three Pidgeons in St Martins, and the sum of thirty shillings owing into me by Gills sons Mr living in Southwarke, And the sum of six pounds ten shillings owing to me by Mr King living about the Allgate Dawson the Currier will direct you to the man, Item I give and bequeath unto William and Richard the sum of ten pounds owing to my by William Goade of Iver my wives brother Item my will and desire is that these my two brothers William and Richard shall collect and gather their debts and sums of money of the severall p[er]sons above said and pay them truly unto Margaret Ludgoll my wife as soon as they shall receive it into their hands Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Katherin my house and land situate and lying in Lalum in the County of Middx to enjoy within one quarter of a year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto my daughter Latherin the sum of four hundred pounds the one half to be paid at the day of her marriage and the other half at her mothers decease Item that if it shall happen that the said Catherine shall die then I give and bequeath the said house and land at Lalum unto my god son Robert Pigg the son of Thomas Pigg to enjoy within two days after her decease Item if it shall happen that the said Katherin shall die the I give and bequeath the four hundred pounds to be equally divided between my brother Thomas Ludgoll his Children and my brother Henry Ludgolls children and my sister Alice Lees children to be paid in equal portions within one half year after the decease of my daughter Katherin Item I give unto the poor of the parish of Langley in Colebrooke the sum of five pounds to be paid within two days after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto Elizabeth Pigg the sum of ten pounds to be paid at the day of her marriage Item I give and bequeath unto Edward Pigg the sum of five pounds to be paid one year after my decease Item I give and bequeath unto our Minister Mr Richardson the sum of twenty shillings to be paid at the day of my burial Item I do make and ordain my two brothers William and Richard Overseers of this my last will and testament Item all the rest of my goods and chattels whatsoever of wheresoever I give and bequeath unto my wife Margaret Ludgoll whom I make whole and full Executrix to perform this my last will and testament Item if it shall happen that my wife shall be married unto another man then my will and is that the four hundred pounds shall be paid unto my daughter Katherin two days before the marriage of my wife, of sufficient security given for the payment of it within one half year after the marriage of the above said Margaret Ludgoll my wife The mark of Rennold Ludgoll Sealed and delivered in the presence of Edw Richardson Mini The mark of Thomas Walter
