In the name of god Amen I Johannas Balnett of Colbrooke in the countie

et in terra ealie Anglcane et hibernce dimpmi captis quinto   being at this present sike in bodye

but yey nevertheless of good and perfect remembrance thanks be given unto god only therefore

make this my last will and testament in manner and form following First of all I committe 

my soule unto the hands of almighty god and of his only begotten sonn Jesus Christ my savour

by and throughe whose merites only I trust and most firmly byleve to be savyd and by no

other way or means And my bodye to be buryed in suche place as to my wief and other of my 

frends shalbe thought most nete and convenient Secondarilye as touching the disposition 

of such goods and chattells as well Reall as personal movable and immovable debts or other

dutes whatsoever they by which I now have in my own possession or ins to dye or any other to

my use or that any other person persathy doth owe unto my I do give and bequeath to my daughter

Johanne one hundreth pounds of good and lawful money of England to be paid to the said

Johanne the day of her marriage by the hands of my wief her executors or assigns And yf it 

fortune the said Johanne to dye before she be maryed or shall decease the said hundred pounds

or any other to her use Then I will the said hundreth pounds to be equally deveyded between my

wief and John Herytage my sisters son And get to use and his moyte of the said hundreth 

poundes the daye of his mariage and not before Also I give and bequeath to every of my sisters

twentie shillimgs apece Also I give and bequeath to every of my shraces vj s. iij d. apiece Also

I give to my mother foure poundes Also I give to every of my godchildren xij d. Also I will that

fourtie shillings be distributed amongst the poore people of Colbrook by the discretion of my wif 

and overseers where they shall think most nedefull Also I will that immediatly after my buryall

my wief with two other good and suffinent frertins with her at the left shall be bonde to the overseers

of this my said last will and testament in two hundred marks for the true payment of the said

hundreth pounds in manner and form as is abobe saide according to the tnm pport effry intent

and meanyng of the said will Item I give and bequeath to my uncle Mr Thomas Bowsser

and to my father in law William Allen (wgome I hand appoynted overseers to the intent

they shall se this my said last will and testament truly performed fncfilly nd best fyve shillings 

apeice of them for their paynes and travell to be taken in and about the expences of the same

fynally as tyuching the resydue of all my said goods and chattells before not bequeahed or 

given I do firly give and bequeath to them unto Elizabeth my wief whome I do constitute

ordayne & make by this present my true lawfall and sole executrix This being witnes Richard

Alley John Gales Thomas Wakehen and Thomas Wyche with dwerse other
