This is the last Will and Testament 

of me Stephen Riddington of Staines in the County of Middlesex 

Workhouse Contractor In the first place I direct all by Just debts (particularly 

a debt due to my son in law Edward Hitches ) legacies funeral and

testamentary charges and expenses to be fully paid and satisfied as soon 

as may be after my decease I give and bequeath to my son Joseph Clark

Riddington a legacy of one Guinea All the rest residue and remainder of my 

estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever of whatever nature or 

kind the same may be both Real and Personal according to the nature

thereof I give devise and bequeath to my dear wife Susanna Riddington to 

hold the same to the said Susanna Riddington her heirs and assigns for ever

I nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Susanna Riddington whole 

and sole Executrix of this my last Will and hereby revoking all former Wills

by me at any time heretofore made do declare this to be my last Will and 

Testament In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 

eighteenth day of October in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred 

and twenty four Stephen Riddington Signed sealed published

and declared by the said Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in 

the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of 

each other have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses  Randolph

Horne Atty Staines James Baker Surgeon Staines  John Wagner Land Surveyor 

Staines
